If a 7th grader was in charge of the world

What if you woke up one day and you were in charge of the world with your 5 best friends?I woke up on a Friday and I was in the white house with my 5 best friends and my family. When I got out of bed I went into the kitchen and I saw the best chef in America her name was Chef Gaga. I asked her why I was here and she said oh leader you are so funny. Then I went into the eating area after I had a wonderful breakfast that was eggs bacon and a strawberry smoothie. I saw all of my best friends and then I asked why they were there they said I was being mean to thing I could lead the country by myself. I then asked what they were talking and they said that we were in charge of the world. My friends then said that we should get to work. So we went to our desk which I still wasn’t sure if it was mine yet but anyway I went to my desk and my friends and we made a bunch of laws that I thought were not necessary. Then after a long day of work I went to bed early. I then woke up the next day and found that it was a dream. I was so glad because I don’t like making laws for the country. That was a very hard dream.

Christmas

I only want one thing for Christmas and that is the new IPod touch. What is really funny is that my cousin Maddy wants one too. So i could skype with here any other friends. It would be really fun. Also I want to be able to buy new songs and new games on my ipod. I also could be able to use my itunes cards. the reason In say that is because older brother says that the better way to use the itunes card is to put the money on his ipod touch. It is so unfair that he got one but not me. Also during this Christmas I am going to my cousins house he name is Maddy she is like my best cousin because she is my age. It is always so fun. I can't wait for Christmas.

Mary Poppins

Mary Poppins Literary Analysis

What would it be like if you were in a world where people dropped right out of the sky? This is exactly what happened to the Bank’s family when they needed a new nanny. Mr. Banks and Mrs. Banks have very naughty children. This family has gone though many different nannies because of the behavior of the children. This story is called “Mary Poppins” by P.L. Travers. “Mary Poppins” follows the romantic mode of literature through its plotline, symbolism, and characteristic.

The movie “Mary Poppins” fits the romance plot line. The romance plot line is very short there are only two plot points. In relative terms the first plot point is a minor conflict. The story begins with the Banks children in need of a new nanny. I have never had a nanny in my life so I would not know what it would be like to have one. The second point on the plot line is life symbolism, which is also the last point. In Mary Poppins the life symbolism is that Mr. Banks becomes nice (because of Mary Poppins) and the family finds the perfect nanny for their children and themselves. Although there are only two points on the romance plot line there was lots of symbolism in Mary Poppins.

Although the plot line is very important but was not too long, the symbolism in Mary Poppins is equally important and amazing. This story had lots of animals; some of the animals that were seen the most were birds, fox, and deer. In Pewaukee and by my house I see lots of birds. I also see lots of deer they are so beautiful and I sometimes will see foxes but not all the time. Also in the story there were lots of different animals that would most likely be on a farm such as pigs, geese, chicken, sheep, swans, dogs, and horses. In the story they were on a farm for a part of the time that is why there are lots of farm animals. In “Mary Poppins” there was lots of different places that they when to like the bank, chimney, and the circus. There also heard a lot of noises like thunder and lightning. I don’t like lightning and thunder at all it will make me not sleep at night. In “Mary Poppins” there was lots of interesting symbolism but the symbolism is not the whole story there also is the characteristics which is are a big part of the story too.

Even though the symbolism was a big part of this story the characteristic plays a big role too. There are a lot of characteristics to the romance mode. The first characteristic was the main character was in control and Mary Poppins was defiantly in control. Also Mary Poppins can do no wrong which is another characteristic of the romance plot line. This was a very unrealistic story because there was a lot of magic like Mary Poppins (the nanny) flies and so do the children. This story is a fantasy vision because of all the magic and going up a chimney. In “Mary Poppins” there is a lot of good because Mary Poppins is very good and strong and Mr. Banks is the evil person and he is very weak and laughable. Also in this story everything seems better than they really are. Like that almost everyone can fly and, everyone does almost anything Mary Poppins tells them to do. There are a lot of characteristics is the movie “Mary Poppins” as you can see.

“Mary Poppins” I thought was very interesting though the romantic plot line, characteristics, and symbolism. In the movie “Mary Poppins” had lots of magic that made me want to be right there with Mary Poppins and do it all along with her. I hope it will make you want to do the same. I thought that is was a good lesson. The lesson of the story was you’re your family is more important than your job. In that story the Mr. Banks was never around for his kids. When Mr. Banks lost his job he really didn’t care because he finally figured out that his family was more important.

Winter

Wisconsin is always cool even in the summer it is never warm. I really don't like Wisconsin. I wish that I lived in Florida. but any way since I live in Wisconsin it is cool. And During the winter time it is even cold. But during the winter time the fresh snow is so pretty it feels like i am in a snow globe. With the trees and the snow and how everything looks. That is what my dad will always say. When winter is over i am so happy because it will start to get warmer, but not like Florida.

Menasha

Every year four years I have gone been going to Menasha. The reason I go to Menasha is because of my brothers. Every year the boys basketball teams go to Menasha. Both of my brothers play basketball. So this year my older brother is not going to be playing anymore because he is too old. He is now playing high school basketball. So now this year I will have to go again because of my younger brother. This is his first year going to Menasha and playing. I will be going to Menasha for like 8 years if my brother keeps paying basketball. I think that this year won't be as fun because Madi and Ally and Izzy. They went to Menasha when i did because of there brothers. There brothers are in the same grade as my brother. So they are also too old.

Story started

It was a windy day when the man crossed the road and went into the bus station. Once this man got into the bus station, there were almost all eyes on him. This man had many eyes on him for many different reasons. One of the big reasons was because he was walking around all suspiciously, for instance always looking behind him and he was carrying a big black bag. Another reason is that no one had seen this man before. When the man walked by a person the eyes would travel. It took some time to figure out who this man was. His name was Mr. Hitch. Or so they thought. Everyone in the small town of Fair Fields knew who Mrs. Hitch was. Mrs. Hitch was a very old sweet lady that everyone loved. But over the years she has been troubled because in the year 1999 her husband had died, over a very tragic car accident.

Now, no one had a clue, who this man really was. There were many thoughts going through the traveler’s heads. For instance was Mrs. Hitch lying about her husband’s death? Or is this man a ghost? Was anyone right or were they all wrong?

Later that day Mrs. Hitch showed up to the bus station to go visit her grand kids in Pewaukee. Before Mrs. Hitch had came to the bus station “Mr. Hitch” had gotten on a bus to Boston. Now everyone crowded around Mrs. Hitch and was asking her where her husband was? Mrs. Hitch said this only once. And I quote “My husband died in 1999 in a car accident, and I am very sad about it still to this day”. Once someone had told her what had happened. Mrs. Hitch was really mad that someone was impersonating her dead husband. Mrs. Hitch right away had called the police to see really who this man was, and why he was impersonating her dead husband.

This search was going on about a week now. Every day Mrs. Hitch would go into the police station and see if they had found any evidence. Also every day after stopping by at the police station she would go to the bus station to see if she could find any evidence herself. Two weeks later Mrs. Hitch thought that she had found something so she brought it to the police station. The evident was a $100 bill that had a post it note on it that said Bus Station, Boston.

At the police station they had found some evidence also. The evidence was a big black sack in one of the buses that had some money in it also. Mrs. Hitch was now told to leave the rest of the investigation up to the police men. Mrs. Hitch said ok, but she could never do that. So Mrs. Hitch did almost her same routine except she would not go to the police station before going to the bus station. She would now go after.

The next few nights Mrs. Hitch was thinking about the money and the post it note. She thought Bus station, and Boston. Some of her thoughts were. Was this man going to Boston? Or. Was he meeting someone at the bus to give them money? Or. Did he rob a bank and was going to Boston to hide it? Or. Did he rob a bank because he owed someone money and his life was on the line? So he did some research and dressed up as Mr. Hitch, but had no clue that Mr. Hitch had died? Mrs. Hitch thought this one over many times. Finally she thought that this idea was good enough to take it to the police station.

The police men listened to Mrs. Hitch’s idea and they thought that is was a great idea. The police man said that there was a resent robbery right next door to Fair Fields. After calling the police station in Boston asking if they have seen a really suspicious man coming out of the bus station about 4 weeks ago. They said yes and that they had him in the Boston jail. In Fair Fields they asked if they could bring him here. The officer in the other line said yes right away.Once the man got here Mrs. Hitch found out that her thought was right. George was the mans name. So George bet someone that he could win a vacation to Mexico. With gamboling and he lost. The two man bet $1,000,000,000. George did not have this kind of money so he robbed a bank and met this guy on the bus ride to Boston. And if George did not show he would be put to death.
After a year they found the guy that George bet with a year ago and they were both put in jail George for one year and the other guy for five years. Mrs. Hitch was very happy to find out who impersonated her dead husband.

Pumpkin Seeds

I loved pumpkin seeds. Have you ever had pumpkin seeds? They are so good when you toast in the oven. Every Halloween we make pumpkin seeds at my house. This is how it work (we have done it so many times that we have a system). So the kids in my family ( Eric, David, and me) will that the seeds out of the pumpkins. I love to play with the guts or goo. Then my mom and me or my mom and dad will clean the seeds so they don't have goo on them. The next step is to put them on a tray and put salt and other ingredients on the pumpkin seeds. Lastly my mom and dad will stay up until the pumpkin seeds are done cooking in the oven. If you have never tried pumpkin seeds then you really should have them some time.

This weekend

This weekend I am going to the Dells. I am so excited! In the Dells we are going to a water park one day I think. Also this weekend is Halloween. We are getting home from the Dells the day before Halloween. So I can go trick or treating. I love going trick or treating. It is so fun and I love getting candy. This weekend I also am going to a Halloween party the day of Halloween.

Candy

There are many types of candy. My favorite candy would have to be a heath bar. The reason I like heath bars so much is because a heath bar has toffee in the inside with chocolate covering. They are so good. I like them so much that for my birthday I have a heath bar cake. This cake is very easy to make. The first step is to make an Angel food cake. Then you buy two heath bars and smash them into tiny pieces. You also have to buy a container of whipped cream. You put them heath bar pieces into the whipped cream and put a little chocolate sauce into the whipped cream and mix it together. Lastly you put the whipped cream mixture on to the Angel food cake. It is so yummy.

Beaches and Oceans

Dear friends,

In my life time I have gone to many beaches and oceans. Two of my favorite beaches are Mexico’s beach in Cancun, and Florida’s beach. The reason I like these beaches was because the ocean were a torques color. Both of the beaches were very pretty. The only thing I don’t like about beaches is the ocean the reason is. I love to play in the sand and make sand castles or something or dig a hole or something like that. After I play in the sand I have to wash the sand off. And I really don’t like the salt water. The water always goes into my eyes, mouth and nose. Then that makes me not want to go into that sand. That makes me sad. What are your favorite beaches.

Patriotism Essay

Does patriotism still matter?

            Patriotism is what you need to have in order to believe in your country.  In order to believe in your country you need to have love, respect and loyalty to your country first.  I think that many people are patriotic, but some people think that patriotism does not matter anymore.  Here in America there is a lot of patriotism, but there are also not a lot of people that are patriotic.  Patriotism still matters, because if you don’t believe in your country, that means you’re not thankful for your freedom.    

            Here in America many people are patriotic, although there is a good amount of people that are not.  I don’t like to hear that because I then think not everyone is happy to be an American.  Also that the people that don’t believe in patriotism they don’t appreciate what the army and the government has done to make America a free country.  As I said before this makes me mad that some people don’t appreciate their freedom.  There are many ways to be patriotic.

            Here in America there are many ways to be patriotic.  A few of them are to say the Pledge of Allegiance.  Also to salute the flag is another way to be patriotic.  Citizens should show respect for the people that are fighting for their country.  These men and women are risking their lives for us.  Many people appreciate what these men and women do for our country but, many do not. 

Where ever you are in the world patriotism is very important.  This topic matters in many ways.  I think that this topic is not talked about as much as it should.  Many people think that it is not a good thing that there is a lot of fighting, but it actually is a good thing to keep us safe.  Patriotism still matters no matter where you live or what religion you are or what your skin color.  e
