Marked essay

Imagine if you were at school and you became a vampyre with just a touch on your forehead.  This is what happens to Zoey Redbird, a new fledging.  In the captivating book Marked by P.C Cast the plot line, characteristics and lesson prove that it is a romantic mode of literature.

The book Marked follows  the romantic mode of literature perfectly.  This story starts out with a mild conflict.  The main character Zoey gets marked which means she will become a vampyre in a few years.  When she was marked she had excruciating pain on her forehead this is what happens when you get marked.  After this happened to Zoey she got home as soon as possible to see what her mom would say and hoped that her mom would help her.  This leads us to the next plot which is that the conflict grows larger.  Zoey gets home and her mom calls her step dad to deal with this when he got home Zoey was in so much trouble for letting it happen to her.  Her step dad thinks that he has a perfect little family job and home so this ruined his thinking.  Once Zoey became a fledging no one would come near her not even her boyfriend named Heath.  When Zoey came to the House of Night almost everyone expected her for who she was.  This leads us to our last plot point in this book which is that the story ends in life symbolism.   After a while at Zoey's new school she meets a  guy named Erik. 

Although the plot line is important you also need the characteristic to understand the book also.  One of the characteristics is that evil is present but not harming in any way.  In this book Aphrodite is the evil and Zoey is so strong and powerful that Aphrodite’s actions are funny in some ways.  Also the good always shines through which is Zoey.  When Zoey’s friends are around her they are interested in what she has to say.

This concludes the reason why I see this book as a romantic mode of literature.  As I read this story I realized that when things are bad they always get better no matter how long it takes.  Romantic books and movies are getting more popular every day.     

Mean Step dad

Once upon a time there were two sisters and they had a evil step-father.  They lived in a far away country by farms and animals.  But one day one of the daughters Anna decided to sneak out of the house.  Anna was done with her father and wanted her sister to follow her so she would not get lost.  Anna's sister is named Kaitlin.  Kaitlin is the smarter one of the two of them.  The next morning when their step dad woke up and saw that Anna was gone he blamed Kaitlin for letting it happen.  Then Kaitlin was hit several times and was crying so hard because she was hurt so bad.  When Kaitlin and Anna's mom came home from work.

Kaitlin was crying so her mom came to see what she was crying about.  Kaitlin pulled up her sleeves and showed her mom her legs.  They had tons of burses and welts all over her.  Then her mom asked her what happened.  Then Kaitlin told her that Anna ran away last night.  And her step dad thought it was because of her.  So he got mad and hit me for a really long time.  After this happened Kaitlin's mom called the police to find Anna.  And had a long talk with her husband.  He said that he did not do that is was that Kaitlin fell. 

That night the police called and said that they found Anna.  Anna was at her friends house because she could not take it anymore with her step dad.  The next morning Anna and Kaitlin's mom decided that this guy needed to be out of the family.  So she was going to divorce this man.  After the divorce was in place Kaitlin, Anna and their mom were happy again

Ocean

Have you ever been to the ocean?  I have been to the ocean my times.  I love the ocean because it is on a beach with sand.  When I was little I would make sand castles and build different things in the sand.  It was so much fun.  Now when I go to the beach I go in the water and lay in the sand.  Also when I am in the water I love to ride the waves in with a board.  The only bad thing about that I normally swallow a lot of ocean water (salt water).  It tastes really bad.

A storm on Friday

I flew into the storm on Friday.  The storm started to pick up just as I was  going into the my house with the groceries I needed just in case the storm would not let us out of our house for the next few days.  Then just as I was about to put my key into the lock the wind really picked up and then a tornado started up I was pick up in a matter of seconds by the wind.  I was so scared of where I was going to end up or if I would ever touch the ground again.  The I saw my best friends on the ground and started to yell at her to help me.  She finally heard me and asked me why I was where I was.  I said that I was in a tornado but she had no idea what I was taking about.  It ended up that I was in my room in a dream.  I finally woke up to find this and I called my friend who woke me up I was suppose to at work and now I would be in so much trouble from my boss.
